The Wayland-Cohocton School community recently donated $792.12 to the American Red Cross, Clara Barton Chapter #1 as the result of the fundraising done during Spirit Week 2008. The Jar Wars and subsequent pie-in-the-face contest pitted staff and teachers against one another as students and adults placed coins in buckets trying to get their choice to win. Winners were selected from each building, Wayland Elementary, Cohocton Elementary, Middle School and High School. During the pep rally, the building principals tossed a pie into the winners’ face! |
